How to Meet Like Minded People

Lira Kanaan

Friendly environment is optional, yet, hugely inspiring. When you lived long enough with an unfocused sight and then where given the glasses, or rather, taken off the shores, you would want to do three things:

you would want to share your excitement about the clean bright world you discovered;

you want to have somebody to show you around, instead of trying to persuade them all you see is real;

and you want to do something, create something, having this new clear vision, simply, because you can. Often it’s more fun to create with somebody just as excited and clear as you. You can create twice as much, and have twice as much fun doing it.

Once you found your clarity, you’ll see others left behind like in a post- apocalyptic movie, blind leading the blind, slowly, bumping into obstacles, tripping over, going around, getting by. It is painful. It is pitiful. You might feel compassion; you might want to help. But like in that ancient story about the one-eyed man who saw the poisonous well and tried to worn the rest of the village in which all people were blind, you’ll get tired of fighting and will be tempted to poke out your own eye and exclaim with a sour disappointment: yes, you can drink that water after all. You want to get strong before you start preaching, and bonding with the converted is a much nicer prospect.

Life is easier in a friendly environment. So make it happen for you.

Once you made a decision to stop playing yourself down for the sake of not upsetting others, you’ll notice a huge increase in energy. Because you stop putting so much effort into hiding and pretending to be something you’re not, you now gained an enormous power. This power can be used for you to enjoy life, to create things, and to make stuff happen.

How would you know whether the environment you are in is a friendly one? By checking out whether people in it are full of life, involved with creating and are generally happy. People being generally happy is a great sign of a friendly environment. We all know what happiness looks like; it can’t be mistaken. So when you see people enjoying life, relax. You are safe here; you can be at home.

Now, if it happens that after so many years of searching you had not found your tribe, I suggest, you make your own.

Begin with your closest friends and family, gently, with the only intention as to open up, not to convert, not to judge, but, simply, show the glimpse of the real you. Share your latest discovery: how good it feels to know what’s going on, and to be clear about who you are. Share this discovery through being happy and friendly yourself. Believe me, that won’t go unnoticed. Within a short time it will begin to reach others around you and inspire them to open up too.

Marianne Williamson beautifully said, and I am freely interpreting here, with shining your light you give permission to others shine theirs. Know, that by liberating yourself from the fear of being too much, or not enough, from any fears, actually, you had opened doors for everybody in a close proximity to have courage too. You give a gentle help and support with your true presence, and you’ll receive back the environment you dared to co-create. A win-win situation.

Now, how will you find clarity? By making a conscious effort to find it.

In the next post I’ll show you one of the ways to do it. It’s going to take you about 10 minutes or so.

If you can’t wait and what to exercise your belonging immediately, I can recommend you my book “I Belong, The Journey from Lost to Found”, which you can get on Amazon as soon as you click this link.
