For Women in Midlife Crisis: Make Yourself a Priority!

One of the signs of a woman in midlife crisis is a desperate desire to attend to yourself.

I just had to show you this clip from one of my favorite movies ever. In her memoir Eat Pray Love Elisabeth Gilbert tells us the story that millions of women can identify with.

Don't we all at some point of our lives need reassurance, we are enough as we are, and some things we do can be JUST FOR US. For no reason whatsoever we can treat ourselves, appreciate ourselves, love ourselves. As your life coach I will bring it to you frankly, until you do, until you love yourself unconditionally, just as you are right this moment, no one else will. We only get as much love in our lives as we have inside. And we know, how near impossible it is to love somebody else until we are filled with love.

I invite you to look around you. Do you have many people dear to you, do you have so much love to give? Congratulate yourself, because that is exactly how much you love yourself now. I am happy for you.

And if you find yourself alarmed, frustrated, panicking about finding the object/objects of your love, you need to do it no more. Just do something for yourself today. Do something you'd want to do for someone you want to love. Do something you want them to do for you. Start living your life loving yourself now and invite opportunities to give love to someone special from your own fulfilled heart.
